For Season 2 of Chapter 3 I worked with Candice Fonville together on the big drill that the IO used to travel to the new map. While Candice worked on the interior sections of the drill, my task was to create the exterior parts and shell of the drill.

This was a huge collaboration once again and I took over for Berker Siino who initially started the blockout for the drill. Rich Eastwood was responsible for the level design and came up with great ways to create a fortnite level that would fit a big drill shape which was no easy task. As time got tight, Stephanie Ducasse took over the drill tracks and Scott homer took on the big drill part in the front.

The entire time we worked very closely with the cinematics team as the drill would also show up in the season cinematic trailer. Whitney Alberter provided additional support for the ramp parts and also on the drill bit itself.

This was a big modeling task using a lot of trim sheets provided by Martin Holmberg and Scott Homer which helped a lot while modeling the shell. They also provided assets for the interior Nate Bowden was the art lead for this season and provided me with feedback and concept in times of need! Philip Hatfield and Brian Fasten did the implementation and making sure this performs well on all platforms.
